Empowering Youth through Skills Development

The Vocational Skills Training Program at Child Aid Uganda (CHAU) is designed to provide vulnerable youth with practical skills that enhance their employability and self-sufficiency. Recognizing the high rates of unemployment and poverty in the communities we serve, the program aims to bridge the gap between education and the job market. Through hands-on training in various trades such as tailoring, carpentry, and mechanics, participants gain valuable skills that can lead to immediate employment or the start of their own small businesses.

The training program is comprehensive, covering not only technical skills but also essential business management and entrepreneurial skills. This holistic approach ensures that graduates are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of the job market and business environment. By fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship, the program encourages youth to become job creators rather than job seekers, contributing to the economic development of their communities.
